Operational users use the information to improve the way they carry out their role on a day-to-day basis. They work on a short-term horizon. Their information is concise, easy to understand, specific to their purpose. They use detailed operational metrics that need to be updated daily, breaking down transactional-level details.
Analytical users are savvy with technology and exploring data. They understand business issues. They create their own content instead of just consuming it. They make medium-term decisions, going back at least 12 months on the data collected. They set their own goals.
