Introduction

The Links product allows the configuration of a custom short domain that will be used to generate shortened URLs. There are two mutually exclusive options for short domain setup, from which the client must choose only one:

📌 Important: The options listed below are mutually exclusive. The short domain can either be acquired and managed by Masiv or by the Client, but not both at the same time.

📌 Requirements When the Domain Is Managed by the Client (Option 2)

For this option, a case must be submitted to the email: [email protected], requesting the inclusion of the SSL certificate for the acquired domain.

The client must provide the following mandatory files for the successful upload of the SSL certificate:

• CRT
• KEY
• CA-BUNDLE

Important Recommendations

• It is mandatory for every short domain to have a valid SSL certificate.

• If the client does not provide one, they must be informed that a vulnerability will exist due to the use of a non-secure port (HTTP).

• The Network and Infrastructure team is responsible for importing the certificate into the AWS account assigned to Links.

• Once the Masiv Network and Infrastructure team confirms one of the following:

  • Option 1: Creation of the short domain within Masiv’s infrastructure,
  • Option 2: Import of the SSL certificate for the domain managed by the client,

  the ticket must be reassigned to the Links team to complete the configuration in the client’s account.
