Introduction

The Links product allows the configuration of a custom short domain that will be used to generate shortened URLs. There are two mutually exclusive options for short domain setup, from which the client must choose only one:

📌 Important: The options listed below are mutually exclusive. The short domain can either be acquired and managed by Masiv or by the Client, but not both at the same time.

Networking Process

Once Masiv’s Networking and Infrastructure team confirms the creation of the short domain (Option 1) or the import of the SSL certificate for a client-managed domain (Option 2), the ticket must be reassigned to the Links team to complete the configuration in the client’s account.

🔒 Security: Every short domain must have an SSL certificate. If none is available, the client must be informed that there will be a vulnerability due to using an unsecured port (HTTP). The client must provide the following SSL certificate files: CRT, KEY, and CA-BUNDLE.

For technical questions regarding this process, please contact the Networking and Infrastructure team. They will be responsible for importing the certificate into the AWS account used by Links.
