Have a project or create one in the Firebase console.
Add an Android application or select an existing one if available.
Register the application with the Android client package and the desired name.
Add the google-services.json file to the root of the project.
Add the Firebase SDK to the project as shown in the following images.
Sync the application to ensure that all dependencies have updated versions.
